ALWAYS check that the wires in the plug of the unit and the wires of the controller coupler are compatible. The fact that the controller and the device have the same plugs and that match NOTHING MATTER, because different manufacturers have different production standards. You should always additionally check whether the wires in these connectors are compatible, i.e. after connecting them to each other, the power supply, ground or signals will be connected correctly and in accordance with both connectors. If you unfasten the plugs but do not check if the wires coming out of them are in the correct order, you risk damaging the driver or the connected device. The tip applies especially to situations when you buy 1 element in our store and want to connect it to a second device in your home. We strongly encourage you not to use connectors and to solder your installation permanently directly to each other with wires. This protects against incorrect fastening of incompatible connectors.
Description of the cables in the Sabvoton ML45 controller
Black [GND], Red [+ 5V], Green [Hall], Blue [Hall], Yellow [Hall] - connector for Hall sensors from the engine.Red and White [+ 5V], black [GND], Green [signal] - throttle accelerating the throttle
Gray [High Speed], Black [GND], Blue [Low Speed] OR Blue [High Speed], Black [GND], Yellow and White [Low Speed] - Speed limit settings. Shorting the signal wires to GND sets the given limit. No wires connected sets the average speed
Blue-White [signal] - Reverse activated by GND signal
Yellow-Green [signal] - 5V square wave signal from Hall sensor for speedometers
Pink [Signal] - Cruise control signal input activated by a momentary short circuit to GND, to exit the cruise control, move the throttle or use the brake signal
Violet [signal] - Service cable, not used
Brown-White [signal], Double Black [GND] - Activation of engine braking (regenerative). If these wires are short-circuited and the controller holds the brake signal from the brake handle, in addition to disconnecting the engine or disabling the cruise control, an attempt will be made to activate regenerative braking. Whether the controller will start it also depends on the state of charge of the battery or the speed at which we are moving.
Yellow-Black [signal] - Service cable, not used
Orange (connected to the second orange) - Ignition switch. Entering + BAT starts the driver
Orange [ignition switch], Green [signal], Brown [engine phase] - Connector for alarm and wheel lock. Applying GND to the green signal wire activates the wheel parking braking. This makes it impossible to move away on the vehicle. Remember that the lock requires the controller on the ignition, so you have to set + BAT to orange at the same time or do not turn off the controller from the main ignition.
Gray-White [signal] - Analog signal of the speedometer, the higher the speed, the higher the voltage on this wire in the range of 0V to + BAT
Blue-Blue [signal] - The "soft start" activation signal allows the motor to start smoothly and smoothly. A useful function when the motor is running in a MID system or other mechanical gear system. It allows you to extend the time of failure-free operation of all chain, toothed or belt ratios.
Black and white [signal] - Signal from the brake handle, controlled by GND
White [signal] - The signal from the brake handle, controlled + 12V
